We will solve problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with simple fractions. We will investigate real life situations involving fractions.

Science: We will continue our Fluids Unit focusing on fluid mechanics and density and buoyancy.
We will analyze how the properties of fluids are used in various technologies and we will assess the impact of these technologies on society and the environment.
Health: We will continue our Sexual Health Unit. A letter was sent home outlining important information regarding the topics that will be discussed during our Sexual Health lessons.
Physical Education: Day 1 & 3 we will continue our Comprehension of Fitness Concepts unit. We will apply personal skills and critical and creative thinking skills as we demonstrate an understanding of the importance of being active, including factors that motivate us to be active. We will create 20 minute fitness routines that will consist of a warm up, 3 fitness circuits and a cool down.
First groups will begin instructing their fitness routines Wed March 9.
History: we will continue our Creating Canada History Unit. We will learn about the events and people that impacted Canada between 1850-1890.
We will investigate how has society changed since the 1850s and how has it stayed the same?
